Ladies' Captain Mel Adcock would like to welcome the new Ladies' Vice Captain Rachel Denton to the women's committee. Rachel has been a long standing member of the women's section and a welcome addition to the team. There was only one application for the position so no vote was needed.
A welcome to a familiar face back onto the committee is Jenny Rivron. Jenny has several years experience serving on the women's committee and will be an asset to the team.
There is still one vacancy on the committee and if anyone is interested, please contact the women's captain to discuss.
A list of winners for the trophy competitions will be announced soon and we hope to hold a presentation early next year.
Two proposals were received relating to the format of the women's Club Championship competition.
The survey was completed online and 60 ladies voted. The results of the survey are displayed below in graphic format.
Proposal 1 - To Play 18 holes on two consecutive days on a Sunday/Monday - 25%
Proposal 2 - To Play 18 holes on two consecutive days on a Saturday/Sunday - 60%
To Leave the Competition as a 36 hole on a Thursday - 11.7%
The remaining percentage were voters who abstained.
Therefore with the majority of voters opting for Proposal 2, we will be planning to hold the next Women's Club Championship Competition over two days at a weekend in 2021.
